Where can I learn to play the Banjo Ukulele?
I definitely bought a banjo uke that I wanted, but I don't know how to play it!! Websites, are mostly helpful please...
Goodness for you...When getting started, I would suggest visiting sites with videos. Easy to pause and play as you begin your new risk. The link below is great for learning "how to". Just put Banjo in the search, and you're all set. Enjoy, and good luck!
What is easier to learn to play, the 5 string banjo, ukulele, or the banjo ukulele?
I like dismal grass music and the Scruggs style of playing. I know the ukulele only has 4 strings and I have never played a stringed device before.
A ukulele and a banjo ukulele are played the same way. They can be plucked or strummed and the strings are tuned to the same intervals. The chord forms (shapes) on a uke are the same as the 4 turbulent strings on a guitar. The banjo is a whole different kettle of fish. It is usually plucked in a rhythmic fashion and it's fingerings are many from a uke or guitar.
Having tried both, I think the ukulele is the easiest to pick up and play initially, although it takes aptitude and time to play any of them well.
