Olp Bass guitar!good for a beginner?

Are OLP bass guitars any kind?Suggest me a beginners bass with price less than 500euros plz.I am also thinking of e-baying a Fender Standard Jazz Bass (MIM).gimme ur lights..:)

Go with the Fender Jazz. Here's the logic:

1. Fender makes quality instruments and the jazz bass will give you the most tonal options (they are good for jazz, rock, bang, etc). It's a good way to find the tone that you love and works for those whom you play with.

2. Fender will hold it's retail value. Chances are this won't be your last bass, so you'll covet to sell it or trade it in to upgrade to your next bass. OLP doesn't hold value like Fenders do...few basses in the lower expenditure range do.

But, ultimately, let your hands and ears do the choosing. If it doesn't sound or play the way you want it too, you won't practice and you'll rue your choice. Best wishes!

I've never played an OLP, but I exceptionally recommend that you check out an Ibanez bass for a beginner.

Fenders are cool, but an Ibanez is much easier to play and that is a big factor in you leftover dedicated to the instrument.
